Noah Haynes named the building after his estranged wife. She doesn't know that yet.
The block itself is nothing special — three storeys above a launderette, tired carpets, a boiler with opinions. But when Noah needs to prove the property is a legitimate business before his divorce lawyers circle it, he has an idea: fill it with five divorced men in genuine need of housing, appoint John Sparrow as live-in supervisor, and call the whole thing a supported residential scheme.
What happens next is not what anyone planned. Over the course of a year, five men who arrived as strangers — broken in different ways, angry in different measures — discover what living together has quietly made them. Not just flatmates. Family.

The Five Lives of Iolanthe Towers
Steve came home early with a cold and found his wife in bed with the boy next door.
John runs the Wednesday support group for divorced men out of a council meeting room, armed with hobnobs and quiet determination.
Cliff has been married three times, is banned from telling most of his stories, and approaches life with the kind of indestructible optimism.
Gary arrived at the group with a court order and a fury he hasn't learned to put down yet.
Tony has been recently widowed and is in desperate need of some TLC from his new flatmates.
Noah Haynes is the sixth member of the group - he owns the building, named it after his wife, and tells himself this is purely business.
